De Groene Tuin

De Groene Tuin B.V. is a corporation specialized in the production of tomatoes and peppers. The corporation is situated on the north coast of the Netherlands, known for its Wadden Sea. It has a total cultivation surface of 22 ha. These are divided in three separate units that operate independent of each other, but are not situated on the same parcel.

The production is done in a sustainable manner. All the production water is being recycled. The company also has its own wood heater and five gas turbines with a total power of 10 MWh. The used boxes are being made on location. There is also a packaging room for further processing, cooling and a dock shelter.
